Actor Bryan Cranston revealed he is stepping away from show business a couple of years and shared what he plans on doing instead.

In an interview with British GQ published on June 8, Cranston, 67, said he will be closing his production company, Moonshot Entertainment, in 2026. He added he plans to sell part of Dos Hombres, a mezcal company he started with his “Breaking Bad” co-star Aaron Paul.

Additionally, the Golden Globe winner said he wants to travel internationally for at least six months, possibly in France, with his wife, Robin Dearden, whom he married in 1989, according to the “Today” Show.

“I want to change the paradigm once again,” he explained. “For the last 24 years, Robin has led her life holding onto my tail.”

Cranton acknowledged the sacrifices his wife made to support him in his career.

“She’s been the wife of a celebrity. She’s had to pivot and adjust her life based on mine,” he said.

He added, “She has tremendous benefit from it, but we’re uneven. I want to level that out. She deserves it.”

By the time Cranston does retire, he will be 70 years old. He said that during that time he wants to focus on relaxation.

He shared:

“I want to have that experience. I want to go for day trips and have the fire in the fireplace and drink wine with new friends and not read scripts. It’s not going to be like, ‘Oh, I’ll read and see what I’m going to do.’ No, it’s a pause. It’s a stop. I won’t be thinking about [work]. I’m not going to be taking phone calls.”

Cranston talked about being in therapy with Dearden since before they were married and shared how that decision impacted their 34-year marriage.

“I look at it like the warning light going off on your dashboard. It’s telling you, ‘You might want to pay attention to this.’ I love my wife, and we want to go the distance, but I want to do it in a healthy way,” he said.
