Actor Brad Pitt took a swing at Congressmembers during the Oscars for not bringing former National Security Adviser John Bolton to testify in the Senate’s impeachment trial against President Donald Trump.

During the 92nd Academy Awards on Sunday, Pitt dipped his toes into politics as he accepted his award for best supporting actor.

Pitt joked in his speech, “They told me I only had 45 seconds up here, which is 45 seconds more than the Senate gave John Bolton this week.”

“I’m thinking maybe Quentin [Tarantino] does a movie about it and in the end the adults do the right thing,” he added.

The “Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood” actor’s remark came after the Republican-led Senate voted against calling additional witnesses and documents in Trump’s impeachment trial, and then voted to acquit the president on Feb. 5.

However, since Trump’s acquittal in the Senate, House Judiciary Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) has said it is “likely” the House will subpoena Bolton to testify, as IJR previously reported.
