Dr. Anthony Fauci’s wish came true after he joked about who he would want to play him on “Saturday Night Live” (SNL).

Actor Brad Pitt portrayed Fauci during the show’s return late Saturday. This follows after Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, joked during a CNN interview on April 10 about who he would want to portray him on SNL, “Oh, Brad Pitt, of course.”

Well, Pitt was part of the SNL sketch, portraying Fauci as he was wearing a white wig and glasses. During the recent segment, Pitt starts out, “Good evening. I’m Dr. Anthony Fauci.”

Pratt continued:

“First, I’d like to thank all the older women in America who have sent me supportive, inspiring, and sometimes graphic emails. Now, there’s been a lot of misinformation out there about the virus. And, yes, the president has taken some liberties with our guidelines, so tonight I would like to explain what the president was trying to say. And, remember, let’s all keep an open mind.”

After switching to segments of Trump’s previous remarks, Pitt diagnosed President Donald Trump’s response to the coronavirus outbreak.

One of the remarks mentioned was Trump’s recent comments where he suggested to scientists the potential coronavirus treatment of injecting disinfectant or using UV light. He later said he was being sarcastic. Pitt responded with his mouth wide open and speechless.

“I’m going to be there putting out the facts for whoever’s listening. And when I hear things like ‘the virus can be cured if everyone takes the Tide pod challenge,’ I’ll be there to say, ‘Please don’t,” Pitt said.

Pitt concluded with a message to Fauci and frontline workers, “Dr. Fauci, thank you for your calm and your clarity in this unnerving time and thank you to the medical workers, first responders, and their families for being on the front line. And now live, kind of, from all across America, it’s Saturday night.”
