A 3-year-old boy was swept away in the Rio Grande when his parents attempted to illegally cross into the United States.

According to People Magazine, troopers were able to locate the boy and transport him to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A record 853 illegal immigrants died attempting to enter the United States last year, per CBS News.

Also, a record number of illegal immigrants crossed the southern border in August, via the Washington Examiner.

Fox News Correspondent Bill Melugin posted about the situation on X, formerly Twitter, Thursday, noting, “Another body was just pulled from the Rio Grande here in Eagle Pass this morning. Middle aged male.”

He listed, “3-year-old boy drowned here yesterday. 10-year-old boy drowned here last week.”

“Every time we come here, there are multiple drownings, for 2+ years now,” he concluded.

The Post Millennial reported White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre refused to address the situation.

Newsmax correspondent Addison Smith displayed a video on location Friday morning and wrote, “It’s 5:50 AM in Eagle Pass— migrants are currently in the Rio Grande making their way across.”

Rosas also posted a CNN interview with Eagle Pass Mayor Rolando Salinas where he stated the Biden administration has offered no aid.

Salinas said, “We’re here abandoned. We’re on the border. We’re asking for help.”

“This is unacceptable. Please just enforce the laws that are on the books. We’re a nation of laws,” Salinas added.
