Country music singer Blake Shelton revealed one of his goals for the upcoming new year is to “either cut back or stop drinking altogether.”

In an interview with “Entertainment Tonight,” Shelton, 47, shared how he would like to ring in the New Year with his wife, Gwen Stefani, 54, and her three kids.

“If we’re at home during New Year’s Eve, we’re probably going to bed before it even happens,” Shelton, known for hits like “Hell Right” and “God Gave Me You,” told the outlet.

When asked about a New Year’s resolution the singer kept making each year and hoped to try again, Shelton shared that he had been unsuccessful in trying to “stop drinking.”

“That’s my New Year’s resolution this year,” Shelton told the outlet. “To either cut back or stop drinking altogether.”

Shelton, along with singers Lainey Wilson, Trace Adkins, Kane Brown, and Morgan Wallen, will be performing at the New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash. The performance will be hosted by ET hosts Rachel Smith and Elle King.

“I haven’t managed to stop drinking yet. That’s been, you know, even cutting back has been hard,” Shelton revealed. “I mean, it’s a resolution though. And I’ll say it again right now – that’s my New Year’s resolution, is to either cut back or stop drinking altogether. Let’s just say I said it.”

Stefani recently revealed during an interview with “Access Hollywood” that she would be in Las Vegas for New Year’s Eve.

“It’s funny because I was going to be at his show,” Stefani told the outlet. “And then, Vegas called and wanted me to be in Vegas. Last year I did Vegas and I was kinda like, ‘Remind me never to do Vegas again,’ because you kinda want to sometimes have your own, not be the host, you know what I’m saying? And then I was like, ‘Uh, I’m gonna do it. If you’re going be working, I’m going to be working.'”
