In the midst of the chaos of the coronavirus, some are turning negatives into positives, including celebrities.

Actor and producer Matthew McConaughey brightened the day of residents at The Enclave at Round Rock Senior Living in Texas by hosting virtual bingo.

The facility wrote on their Facebook page commenting on the event.

“Ever play virtual bingo with Matthew McConaughey? You’d be a whole lot cooler if you did! The residents at The Enclave at Round Rock Senior Living got to play virtual bingo with Matthew McConaughey and his family!” the facility writes.

McConaughey officiated the game calling out the winners.

“We got I24, I24. Oh! Richard is waving a hammer up high!” McConaughey shouted during the game. “We got Charles… with the iPad up high. We’ve got two winners!”

The facility posted an additional message thanking McConaughey for hosting the event.

“Thank you to Matthew, his wife Camila, and his mom Kay for hosting our residents for a few rounds of virtual bingo!” the facility writes. “Our residents had a great time playing, and they loved talking with Matthew about his family heritage and his favorite drink.”

The residents held up signs to show appreciation for McConaughey and the facility reiterated their appreciation.

“During a time when we are all working to make lemonade out of lemons, we are so humbled that Matthew took the time to play our favorite game with us. As Matthew would say, let’s turn this red light into a green light!” the facility writes.

The event proved to be a success as it appeared to be a positive experience for both McConaughey and the residents of the facility.

McConaughey previously shared a message calling for unity amid the coronavirus outbreak, as IJR previously reported.

“Let’s see if we can make some lemonade out of this lemon that we’re living in the middle of,” he said, adding, “Turn a red light into a green light and just keep living.”

The coronavirus continues to spread across the nation leading to stay-at-home orders, delayed primaries, hospitalizations and fatalities.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the United States is reporting at least 378,000 confirmed cases of coronavirus.
