Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden is letting the American people know he has been tested for the coronavirus and will continue to be tested moving forward.

During a press conference in Delaware on Friday, a reporter asked Biden if he had already been tested for the coronavirus.

“Yes I have,” Biden said.

He was asked how many times.

“I’ve been tested once with a deep test, and I’m going to continue to be testing on a regular basis,” he added.

Another reporter pressed Biden on when his next test will be. He reiterated they are going to be testing him on a regular basis.

He explained his Secret Service agents and others who come into his home will be tested.

“I just, ‘Yes, sir,’ show up and put my head back when they tell me,” Biden said.

He continued, “I imagine it will be sometime this week. I just don’t know, but it will be a regular basis.”

President Donald Trump has also been tested for the coronavirus more than once.

Trump’s doctor announced on March 14 the president tested negative, as IJR previously reported.

He later revealed during a press briefing on March 24 his wife Melania Trump tested negative for the coronavirus, as IJR previously reported.

In a memo to White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham on April 2, Trump’s doctor said he tested negative for the coronavirus again.

Vice President Mike Pence and his wife Karen Pence also reportedly tested negative for the coronavirus in March.

As of Friday afternoon, more than 6,204,300 people in the U.S. have been infected with the coronavirus, and at least 187,300 have died.

On Thursday, the United States reported at least 1,078 new coronavirus related deaths and 45,601 new cases. The nation has seen an average of 40,531 cases per day over the past week.
