Biden referred to him as “a friend” and noted, “I spoke to him today and, you know uh, he was his old self on the telephone.”

He then concluded, “I’m confident he’s gonna be back to his old self.”

Last month the Western Journal reported that McConnell was drowned out with shouts of “retire” while he was giving a speech at the 143rd Annual St. Jermone Fancy Farm Picnic in his home state of Kentucky.

Concerns about his health have continued to be an issue after McConnell had a bad fall in March and then had multiple incidents where he froze up in July and August.

This second incident has led to more speculation but McConnell has been medically evaluated and cleared to return to work. According to the Western Journal, Dr. Brian P. Monahan stated, “After evaluating yesterday’s incident, I have informed Leader McConnell that he is medically clear to continue with his schedule as planned.”

“Occasional lightheadedness is not uncommon in concussion recovery and can also be expected as a result of dehydration,” he went on.

Now, calls for term limits have once again resurfaced.

ACT for America founder and chairwoman Brigitte Gabriel posted to X, formerly Twitter, stating, “This is truly sad to watch. Mitch McConnell is clearly not capable of serving as a US Senator.”

“We need Term Limits in Congress. The people deserve capable representation!” she added.

Political commentator Rogan O’Handley questioned the diagnosis. He wrote, “The entire world has now watched Mitch McConnell experience total cognitive failure *twice* & the US Capitol physician says it’s b/c he didn’t drink enough water?!

These people will hold onto power no matter how much they humiliate America & themselves

Political scientist and best-selling author Dr. Carol M. Swain said, “Hopefully, McConnell is working on a succession plan.

Hopefully, McConnell is working on a succession plan. A national leader who truly cared about America would be quietly planning an exit. Let’s pray, he is! https://t.co/dMmOuyfAJU
