President Joe Biden is facing heat over a horribly timed tweet.

On Wednesday night, for some reason, Biden’s staff thought it would be a good idea to post on X, formerly Twitter, about former President Donald Trump’s alleged threat to democracy.

“Trump poses many threats to our country: The right to choose, civil rights, voting rights, and America’s standing in the world,” the post declared.

It added, “But the greatest threat he poses is to our democracy. If we lose that, we lose everything.”

Trump poses many threats to our country: The right to choose, civil rights, voting rights, and America’s standing in the world.

But the greatest threat he poses is to our democracy.

If we lose that, we lose everything.

If you mercifully tuned out the news for a few days, you may have missed the explosive ruling from Colorado’s Supreme Court that ruled Trump is ineligible to hold office again and cannot appear on ballots in the state for allegedly engaging in an insurrection on Jan. 6.

“Ah, yes. Nothing says ‘right to choose’ and protecting ‘voting rights’ like refusing to let Americans vote for who they want,” wrote one user.

“There is no greater threat to democracy and the republic than President Biden and the Democratic Party refusing to allow Americans to elect their next president fair and square at the ballot box next November,” argued former Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-N.Y.).

Yes, nothing screams protecting democracy while members of the Left are actively seeking to prevent the front-runner for the opposition party’s presidential nomination from being on the ballot before he has even formally been charged with insurrection or faced a trial.

If the Biden campaign really cares about democracy, they have a funny way of showing it.

After Trump was arrested in Georgia, the Biden campaign tweeted, “Apropos of nothing, I think today’s a great day to give to my campaign.”

Good job, guys. You’re really doing great at convincing people all the charges against Trump are legitimate and that there is not some concerted, corrupt effort to stop him from winning when you gloat in these situations.

Hopefully, those “Dark Brandon” memes are worth burning down the country and trust in our institutions for!
