Former Attorney General William Barr is making no secret of his distaste for his old boss.

However, just because he is not a fan of former President Donald Trump does not mean he is lining up to support President Joe Biden.

NBC News reached out to 44 people who served in Trump’s Cabinet to ask if they would endorse his 2024 re-election bid.

Barr, who was among those the outlet reached out to, said, “I have made clear that I strongly oppose Trump for the nomination and will not endorse Trump.”

But when asked who he would vote for if he had to choose between the former president and Biden, Barr said, “I’ll jump off that bridge when I get to it.”

Fans of Trump seized on the use of Barr’s idiom, with some sarcastically offering pictures of bridges he could jump off of.

One user wrote, “We have a bridge here in Colorado called the Royal Gorge – 956 feet above the Arkansas River – Bill Barr can jump off of when Trump wins the nomination.”

Trump has previously criticized Barr and called him “weak,” “lazy,” and a “gutless pig.”
