President Donald Trump continues to claim that he won the 2020 presidential election, despite several news outlets calling the race for President-elect Joe Biden.

During an interview on MSNBC on Monday, Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.) was asked what she believed would happen with the presidential transition process as Trump and members of his administration “say weird stuff on a daily basis” and have delayed the transition process.

She responded by calling Trump’s actions and refusal to concede “pathetic” and “unpatriotic.”

“We have always had a seamless transition of power. It’s a pillar of our democracy. It’s a pillar of our institutions,” she continued. “And so the fact that the person whom I’ve referred to as ‘The Occupant’ for the last four years is now hellbent on squatting within the Oval Office is certainly no surprise.”

Watch the video below:

However, she claimed that Democrats have the law and the courts “on our side.”

“And he will move on,” she added.

While some administration officials have accepted the election results, others have said they are planning for a second Trump administration.

Trump seemed to accept the results of the election on Sundaym but quickly sent out a tweet to clarify that he was not admitting defeat, as IJR reported.
