Former President Donald Trump lashed out at Piers Morgan for attempting to “unlawfully and deceptively” edit an interview.

In Morgan’s promo for the interview, it shows Trump growing more frustrated with him.

“I think I’m a very honest man, much more honest than you actually,” Trump said.

Pressing Trump on the election, Morgan said, “It was a free and fair election. You lost.”

Trump replied, “Only a fool would think that.”

At the end of the promo, Trump appears to walk out calling Morgan “dishonest.”

Audio obtained by The Washington Examiner tells a different story.

At the end of the audio, Morgan tells the former president “congratulations.” Trump then thanks him.

Morgan goes on to call it a “great interview,” as the Examiner reported.

Appearing to agree, Trump says, “Yeah.”

The exchange is followed by Trump getting out of his chair and saying “turn the camera off.”

Trump issued a statement after the promo was released.

“Piers Morgan, like the rest of the Fake News Media, attempted to unlawfully and deceptively edit his long and tedious interview with me,” Trump said.

He continued, “He wanted to make it look like I walked out on the interview when my time limit of 20 minutes went over by an hour.”

Trump explained the interview “was actually very strong on the 2020 Election Fraud, with me calling him ‘a fool’ if he truly believed those results.”

The statement goes on, “For those who want to make Piers look bad, compare his video promo and how it was doctored to the real thing.”

Trump claimed Morgan “went out of his way to deceptively edit an interview and got caught. That is a big story, isn’t it?”

Morgan issued a statement of his own responding to Trump.

“Morning, Mr President! It was a great interview, thanks for all your time. Sorry you got so annoyed that I don’t believe the 2020 election was rigged or stolen from you, but as I said, where’s your proof? If you have it, show us – or accept the result and move on,” Morgan said.

Candace Owens commented on the matter.

She posted a video of herself and Trump telling the camera crew to turn the cameras off.

If my team were as unethical and dishonest as the snake @piersmorgan, we would have sensationally edited this clip of Trump to make it look like he threw a tantrum and asked the cameras to be shut off when in reality—the interview was over and we simply wanted to chat off-camera. pic.twitter.com/uuJo4e2zNi

The interview will debut on both Fox Nation and the TalkTV website on April 25.
