Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) is being roasted after she renewed her feud with Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas).

In a tweet on Sunday, Ocasio-Cortez shared a clip of her dancing after campaigning for Texas Democrats. She wrote, “Ted Cruz could never.”

Cruz responded, “True that.”

“Only Dems can be such shameless mask hypocrites. Dance while you make the ‘little people’ mask up,” he added.

True that. @aoc

In a separate tweet, he noted she was not wearing a mask and wrote, “Nice mask.”

The comments were a jab at a statement Ocasio-Cortez made on Twitter last year after she was criticized following a trip to Florida.

“If Republicans are mad they can’t date me they can just say that instead of projecting their sexual frustrations onto my boyfriend’s feet. Ya creepy weirdos,” she wrote. “It’s starting to get old ignoring the very obvious, strange, and deranged sexual frustrations that underpin the Republican fixation on me, women, [and] LGBT+ people in general. These people clearly need therapy, won’t do it, and use politics as their outlet instead. It’s really weird.”

Ocasio-Cortez has called for Cruz to resign over what she says was his role in inciting the riot at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6.

“I am happy to work with Republicans on this issue where there’s common ground, but you almost had me murdered 3 weeks ago so you can sit this one out. Happy to work w/ almost any other GOP that aren’t trying to get me killed. In the meantime if you want to help, you can resign,” she wrote in a Jan. 2021 tweet.
