Angel Studio’s new film, “Sound of Freedom,” premiered Tuesday night, but instead of rolling out the traditional red carpet in Hollywood, it was held in Washington D.C., according to the Washington Examiner.

The final trailer was also released by the studio on Wednesday to highlight the film’s story about former CIA and DHS agent Tim Ballard and his quest to rescue children from human trafficking rings.

According to The Child Advocacy Center of Lapeer County, an estimated two million children are abused in the global sex trafficking trade annually.

Save the Children reported girls are twice as likely to become victims of human trafficking and they are more likely to be sex trafficked.

During a recent interview on Bannon’s War Room, lead actor Jim Caviezel noted that “Sound of Freedom” was made to “put the light” on the severity of the situation and the need for more intervention as well as prevention methods.

He also noted “Sound of Freedom” was created to compete with other releases.

He stated, “This is an action-adventure. This is ‘Taken.’ It’s not a documentary.”

Media executive and former Trump aide Steve Bannon said Angel Studios took their premiere to Washington D.C. to “generate a movement throughout the country” and “rattle some cages.”

In addition, Angel Studios live-streamed an interview with Caviezel on Twitter Wednesday evening, where the actor discussed the border crisis.

He said, “Our south border is wide open and they’re trafficking children and doing far worse things that you can’t even imagine.”

“Sound of Freedom” is being promoted with a goal to sell two million tickets on opening weekend in order to represent the two million children who are estimated to be sex trafficked annually.

In order to drive home the nature of the content involved, Caviezel said the theme of the film is, “That God’s children are no longer for sale.”
