‘All F*cking Fired!’: Megyn Kelly Says Trump’s Win Was America’s ‘F You’ To Institutions Over COVID Crackdowns

SiriusXM’s Megyn Kelly said Monday on her show that President Donald Trump’s win was part of Americans’ “f you” to institutions over their COVID-19 crackdowns.

While the “15 days to slow the spread” initiative began under Trump’s first administration, prolonged masking and vaccine mandates soon followed under the Biden-Harris administration. Discussing a recent New York Times op-ed on “The Megyn Kelly Show,” which admitted Americans were misled about COVID-19 not being a lab leak, Kelly called out the outlet for trying to “cleanse their own hands” as Trump returns for the next four years.

“By the way, the election of President Trump was a middle finger to all these institutes too. In part, it was America saying, ‘F you and what you did to us. You lied to us over the most consequential things affecting our lives, our health care, our loved ones dying and our ability to see them, our children and their wellness in schools,’” Kelly said.

“The masking on toddlers, nonstop. F you. You’re all fucking fired! All of you fired,” Kelly added. “So it’s like it’s all baked in. Now the New York Times has to try to whitewash what it did. So you’ll believe it when it tells you that [HHS Director] Kennedy’s evil and you need to trust them, [you] need to trust The Times.”

During the pandemic, The New York Times frequently downplayed the possibility that COVID-19 originated from a lab leak, dismissing it as a “conspiracy theory.” The outlet amplified scientists with conflicts of interest to push the narrative that the virus emerged naturally, a stance it maintained until 2023.

By April 2023, The Times abruptly shifted, publishing a report claiming it had “found” evidence of a Chinese censorship campaign on COVID-19 after its reporters “investigated” efforts to silence information about the virus in China.

Former White House senior medical adviser Anthony Fauci has consistently dismissed the lab leak theory, despite ongoing disputes over COVID-19’s origins. During a June 2024 interview on MSNBC, Fauci doubled down, insisting that a natural occurrence is “more likely” than a lab leak.
