Actor Brian Austin Green and “Dancing with the Stars” pro dancer Sharna Burgess opened up about life as parents to a newborn.

Speaking on becoming a new mother, Burgess told Good Morning America, “I am in love with the experience. I’m doing great. I feel amazing. I’m grateful for the way that I’ve recovered and I’m so grateful for our little boy.”

Burgess gave birth to a son named Zane Walker Green in June and shared the news on her Instagram.

“My heart is now forever outside of my body,” she wrote in the caption.

Green, who is a father to four other sons, said that he loves being a parent and “it’s amazing.”

“Some people are cut out for other aspects of life, and I just love parenting,” he added.

Zane is Burgess’ first child and she shared how Green being an “experienced” father has helped her.

“Knowing that he’s so experienced, it keeps me calm. You imagine all the things that can go wrong with your baby, and I thought, gosh, am I crazy? And he was like, ‘No baby, it’s normal.'”

Burgess told Us Magazine in 2021 that Green is “an amazing dad.”

“He’s one of the best I’ve ever known or witnessed. He’s incredible. I love spending time with the boys. I love having them in my life. They’re amazing kids, so it’s not a hard gig. I’ve always loved kids. A lot of my friends have kids now and I’m obsessed with them, so it was really wonderful for me to be able to connect with them.”

Green told Good Morning America that the couple is not planning to have anymore children anytime soon, but Burgess is looking forward to her new role.

“I’m so excited for this new version of me that is a nurturing, caring, dedicated mom. I love this new blend of me, and I’m so excited to see where that takes me,” she said.

Burgess and Green met through a mutual friend in 2021, according to Us Magazine.
