Former Democrat Pennsylvania Rep. Patrick Murphy shamed his own side Friday for “taking out” their anger at Elon Musk on Tesla as vandalisms have continued across the U.S.

Anti-Musk protesters have graffitied and set fire to Tesla charging stations, vehicles and dealerships to retaliate against Musk’s role in overseeing the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which intends to eliminate wasteful and fraudulent spending in federal agencies. Murphy told “Fox & Friends” host Lawrence Jones that this type of behavior is anti-American and must be put to an end.

“I’m super happy that Attorney General Pam Bondi is investigating this. Lawrence, you know as well as I do, the solemn duty of our government is to keep our families safe,” Murphy said. “You know I’ve prosecuted terrorists overseas, I come from a law enforcement family … whether it’s from the left or the right, we had an election four months ago, got it, elections have consequences. But any type of act that commits violence against people or their property is wrong, it’s illegal and we can’t stand for it as Americans whether you’re Democrat or Republican.”

The former congressman further said that Americans cannot “take out” their outrage at Musk on an essential car company and instead make their views known at the ballot box. (RELATED: Tim Walz Rooting Against Company That Employs Thousands Of Americans Just To Spite Musk)

“This isn’t a Democrat or a Republican issue, this is unifying all Americans saying ‘listen, the bottomline, keep our families safe. We elections for a reason. Stop doing the BS that’s going on out there,’” Murphy said.

Jones and Murphy agreed that these actions will begin “red pilling” Democrat voters who happen to own a Tesla.

Most of those who committed the violent acts on Tesla appear to identify as either transgender or non-binary. Police arrested Justin Thomas Nelson, a trans-identifying man allegedly caught carrying explosives at a Tesla dealership in Loveland, Colorado on Monday, while another trans-identifying man named Erin L. White was handed felony charges after allegedly vandalizing a Tesla center in Illinois.

Firefighters and police in Littleton, Massachusetts believe protesters intentionally set fire to seven Tesla charging stations at around 1:00 a.m. on Monday. Another individual in Charleston, South Carolina, lit Tesla charging stations on fire with Molotov cocktails.

President Donald Trump told Fox News’ Laura Ingraham Tuesday that the political left is committing acts of “domestic political terrorism.”

Attorney General Pam Bondi announced charges against Nelson, the defendant in Charleston and another who threw Molotov cocktails at a dealership in Salem, Oregon, according to a Department of Justice press release. All three defendants are facing charges that carry a maximum of 20 years in prison.
