Vivek Ramaswamy said Wednesday on Fox News that the Democratic Party is “screwing” over poor people, which is the demographic they claim to defend.

During an appearance on “The Ingraham Angle,” Ramaswamy portrayed the Democrats as marionettes manipulated by a cabal of global elites, including prominent figures such as Alex Soros. Soros hosted a fundraiser for Democratic Vice Presidential nominee Tim Walz at his Manhattan residence, which Ramaswamy argued highlights the undue political influence.

“So look, I have no objection to being a billionaire, speaking to somebody who has lived the American dream myself,” Ramaswamy told Laura Ingraham. “But what I do have an objection to is the kind of puppeteering that you see now in the Democratic Party. Look at those images of Alex Soros standing next to Tim Walz. Looks like if you squint really closely, you can even see the puppet master pulling the strings right there.”

“That I think is the ultimate irony. The party that will tell the poor in this country that the rich people are screwing you over are indeed the very rich people who are speaking that message to people and deceiving them,” he added. “What’s at stake here? It’s the status quo where effectively the people in power blow the woke smoke. They’ll tell you, give you your victimhood narratives for yourself. So they’re able to preserve greater power for their own interests.”

The entrepreneur and political commentator also linked the tactic to broader foreign policy issues, particularly criticizing the ongoing war in Ukraine. He echoed former President Donald Trump’s sentiments on seeking peace in the region, contrary to what he perceives as a “global establishment” eager to perpetuate the conflict.

“Nowhere do we see this more pronounced than in our foreign policy. I think this war in Ukraine does not best serve American interests and Donald Trump is right to want to bring peace to that conflict,” he continued. “Yet you do see a global establishment almost goading on the furtherance of that war in a way that doesn’t advance American interests. The climate change agenda is the same thing. It doesn’t help the United States.”

Since assuming leadership from his father, George Soros, the son has channeled millions into Democratic campaigns and abortion rights initiatives through his Democracy PAC, according to campaign finance records. The Soros family’s Democracy PAC has spent about $40 million since the switch, shifting its focus from criminal justice issues to more directly supporting Democratic efforts to retain the White House.
