Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) may not be running for president as third party candidate, but he insists he is not ready to endorse President Joe Biden.

During an interview with CNN on Monday, Manchin was asked if he would endorse the current president.

“I’m not endorsing anybody right now. We’re gonna see what all happens. We’ve still got plenty of time here,” the senator responded.

He added, “I’m gonna do everything I can to help move them back to the middle and show them where the strength of this country lies, where the voting bloc of the country lies.”

Manchin also said Biden has “gone too far to the Left.”

“That’s not where America is,” he insisted.

When asked if the race came down to Biden or former President Donald Trump, Manchin said, “We’ll just have to see what happens.”

“That’s a long time before that happens. Right now there might be other people getting in, there’re still independents, you might have still a third party run from No Labels, and we’ll just see what opportunities and what type of options you have,” he added.

On Friday, Manchin revealed he would not run for president on a third party ticket as he said, “I just don’t think it’s the right time. Democracy is at stake right now.”
