Special Counsel Robert Hur is offering a shocking assessment of President Joe Biden’s memory.

On Thursday, Hur released his report about his investigation into the president’s handling of classified documents.

While he concluded Biden “willfully retained and disclosed classified materials after his vice presidency when he was a private citizen,” Hur said he was not recommending charges.

However, his report appears to have validated concerns by the president’s team that it would contain information damaging to his re-election bid.

One portion of the report alleged the president did not remember key events such as when he was vice president.

“In his interview with our office, Mr. Biden’s memory was worse. He did not remember when he was vice president, forgetting on the first day of the interview when his term ended (‘if it was 2013 – when did I stop being Vice President?’), and forgetting on the second day of the interview when his term began (‘in 2009, am I still Vice President?’),” the report stated.

The report also claimed he did not remember when his son Beau — who passed away in 2015 — died.

“He did not remember, even within several years, when his son Beau died. And his memory appeared hazy when describing the Afghanistan debate that was once so important to him. Among other things, he mistakenly said he ‘had a real difference’ of opinion with General Karl Eikenberry, when, in fact, Eikenberry was an ally whom Mr. Biden cited approvingly in his Thanksgiving memo to President Obama,” the report alleged.

The report stems from Hur’s investigation into classified documents from Biden’s time as vice president that were found in various locations, including the garage of his Delaware home.

In a statement in response to the report, which did not recommend charges, White House Counsel Richard Sauber said, “We disagree with a number of inaccurate and inappropriate comments in the Special Counsel’s report.

“We do not believe that the report’s treatment of President Biden’s memory is accurate or appropriate. The report uses highly prejudicial language to describe a commonplace occurrence among witnesses: a lack of recall of years-old events,” he added.

The shocking allegations in the report come the same week Biden claimed he spoke to foreign leaders who were no longer living.
