A former hockey player with the Colorado Avalanche slammed pro-Palestinian protesters who chanted outside of a children’s cancer hospital.

Colby Cohen, who used to play as a defenseman with the National Hockey League (NHL) team, slammed the protesters shown in a video on X, formerly Twitter, marching outside of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, which also houses a pediatric day hospital.

“If you are wondering what scum of the earth look like, it’s these people harassing and yelling at children at Sloan Kettering getting cancer treatments,” Cohen wrote in his post. “Hard to fathom there are adults that condone and support that type of behavior.”

The crowd of protesters was seen on video walking past the hospital as a woman with a loudspeaker tells them, “Make sure they hear you, they’re in the windows.”

Protesters taking part in the march called, “Flood Manhattan for Gaza MLK Day march for healthcare” blasted the cancer hospital.

“What about refusing to acknowledge an attack on Palestinian people, and especially the healthcare system, shows any form of compassion or respect for health?” one person said.

Not a good look as pro-Palestinian protestors target a cancer hospital on New York’s Upper East Side. The Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center also houses a paediatric day hospital…

Since Hamas launched an attack on Israel on Oct. 7, roughly 1,200 people were left dead and more than 200 people were taken as hostages.

While several people who had been held captive by Hamas were released, there are reportedly around 130 hostages still being held hostages.

As the war between Israel and Hamas has continued, there have been various pro-Palestinian protests in the United States and around the world calling for a ceasefire, and slamming the U.S. for continuing to support Israel.

Various student groups at universities have issued letters condemning Israel. Democratic donors and White House interns have called for a ceasefire and expressed their frustration with the Biden Administration’s continued support for Israel.
