Former President Donald Trump won the Iowa caucuses by a landslide Monday night.

According to Politico, he won over 50% of the vote, leading his opponents by at least 30%. His lead was so great that he was declared the winner early on in the counting process and continues to lead in the polls for the next race that will be held in New Hampshire next week.

Trump thanked the people of Iowa, who braved a midwestern cold snap, and then went on to promote unity and togetherness for the American people.

After winning the Iowa caucus, he said, “I really think this is time now for everybody, our country, to come together.”

“Whether it’s Republican or Democrat or liberal or conservative, it would be so nice if we could come together and straighten out the world and straighten out the problems and straighten out all of the death and destruction that we’re witnessing. It’s practically never been like this,” he went on.

Then he added, “It’s just so important and I want to make that a big part of our message. We’re gonna come together. it’s gonna happen soon too. It’s gonna happen soon.”

He thanked various politicians and made some predictions. He thanked Arizona Senatorial candidate, Kari Lake and predicted that she would be a great senator. He also thanked Iowa’s attorney general, Brenna Bird, for all her support. He also predicted that she will become the governor of the state in the future.

Trump thanked his wife and remembered his late mother-in-law who recently passed away. He went on to praise the love and support that he has received from his family. He noted, “They’ve taken so much abuse for being good people.”

Despite his current legal battles and concerns over election integrity, Trump also admitted that other politicians are finally recognizing that he is a solid candidate. He stated, “Now they’re all calling saying ‘we want to endorse you, sir.”’
