President Joe Biden is getting more bad news from a CNN/SSRS poll.

On Monday, CNN’s Kasie Hunt broke down the results of a poll of voters in the two key battleground states of Georgia and Michigan.

“The news is not great for President Biden and his campaign,” Hunt said, adding, “The numbers show Donald Trump leading in both Georgia and Michigan.”

The survey, which was conducted from Nov. 29 – Dec. 7, showed former President Donald Trump leading Biden 49% to 44% in Georgia.

Meanwhile, he led Biden 50% to 40% in Michigan.

Another 10% in both states said they wouldn’t support either candidate.

This poll came after a separate CNN poll found Biden’s approval rating had dropped to its lowest level ever.

On Wednesday, a CNN/SSRS poll found just 37% of Americans approve of Biden’s job performance while 63% disapprove.

CNN political director David Chalian mentioned a graph of the president’s approval rating, which showed it began to drop after the withdrawal from Afghanistan

Biden did see an uptick around the 2022 midterm elections, however, his approval rating then continued its “downward slide to this new numeric low of 37%.”

Chalian pointed out Biden’s approval rating is lower than any of his predecessors going back to Jimmy Carter at this point in their presidencies.

He then pointed out Trump’s approval rating in 2019 and Carter’s in 1979 and added, “What do they all have in common? They didn’t win their re-election race.”

“This is a real warning sign for President Joe Biden,” Chalian said.
