Transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney was mocked after he did not draw a crowd during his lecture at Penn State University.

On Dec. 5, Daily Wire’s Michael Knowles reposted a photo of the auditorium taken and shared by the Young America’s Foundation on X, formerly known as Twitter, showcasing “a large number of empty seats.”

“It’s so brutal I don’t even want to mock him for it. To quote Robert Frost, ‘Hell is a half-filled auditorium,'” he wrote in the caption, referring to Mulvaney, who is a biological male.

Additionally, Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh celebrated the sparse turnout.

“We were accused by some on the Right of helping Mulvaney by ‘making him famous,’ But in fact we made sure his brand was viewed as it really is: toxic, embarrassing and ridiculous,” he wrote.

We were accused by some on the Right of helping Mulvaney by “making him famous.” But in fact we made sure his brand was viewed as it really is: toxic, embarrassing and ridiculous. Now he can’t draw a crowd and he’s radioactive to companies that associate with him. Total victory. https://t.co/imJQHAKqgt

Walsh added, “Now he can’t draw a crowd and he’s radioactive to companies that associate with him. Total victory.”

Other users on X echoed the same sentiments.

“It’s amazing how people who can’t fill auditoriums get huge speaking fees, how people who can’t sell books get Pulitzers, how warmongers get Nobel peace prizes, how critics thumbs-up movies no one else will pay to see, etc., ad nauseam. So much is nothing but illusion,” one user wrote.

BlazeTV host Lauren Chen noted Mulvaney still got paid a hefty amount despite the small crowd.

“People are making fun of almost no one coming to see Dylan Mulvaney speak But bro still got paid tens of thousands of dollars AND only had to deal with like 20 people Idk but that kind of sounds like my dream?” she shared.

According to The Daily Mail, Mulvaney, 26, spoke about his gender transition during the event on Friday evening, which was funded by students.

The College Fix reported the TikTok star’s agent, Crista Spadafore, confirmed he charges $40,000 to speak at colleges.

Mulvaney was recently recognized by Forbes on its 2023 “30 Under 30” list.
