Comedian Marc Maron called out the men who took offense to the “Barbie” movie’s feminist elements.

On Tuesday, Maron, 59, took to his TikTok page to share his review of the movie, which he deemed “a f****ing masterpiece.”

In his video, he slammed men who were not thrilled with director Greta Gerwig’s portrayal of them in the film.

“The comedy about men is inspired. And the fact that certain men took offense to the point where they, you know, tried to build a grift around it in terms of their narrative is right-wing —-. It is so embarrassing for them,” Maron said.

He continued attacking their manhood and throwing jabs by calling them “a bunch of f****ing insecure babies.”

“Any dude that can’t take those hits in that movie, they’ve really got to look in their pants and decide what they’re made of,” he asserted.

This came after Elon Musk, CEO of X, formerly known as Twitter, noted the film’s continual mention of the word patriarchy.

“It (sic) you take a shot every time Barbie says the word ‘patriarchy,’ you will pass out before the movie ends,” he wrote on the platform.

Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro also expressed the same sentiments stating the “Barbie” movie “unironically uses the word ‘patriarchy’ more than 10 times,” via the outlet.

In a review by The Conversation’s Harriet Fletcher, she praised the movie for “exposing how damaging patriarchal ideology is to society.”

“While the film obviously appeals to women, it is men who really need to watch it. Barbie makes a point that Leicester Square-megaphone-man really needs to hear: it’s not a Barbie doll that threatens women’s rights, opportunities and safety – it’s the patriarchy,” she continued.

Furthermore, Fletcher called the movie “one of the most surprising and daring films of the year.”

“What could have been a frivolous flop succeeds in being a substantial, important and poignant piece of filmmaking – as well as tremendous fun to watch,” she added.
