A co-host of Fox News’ “The Five” will no longer be on the show.

In a tweet on Wednesday, Geraldo Rivera wrote, “Morning, it’s official, I’m off [The Five]. My last scheduled show appearances are Thursday and Friday June 29th and 30th.”

“It’s been a great run and I appreciate having had the opportunity. Being odd man out isn’t always easy,” he continued.

“However, Rivera added, “For the time being, I’m still Correspondent at Large.”

Rivera was one of the liberal co-hosts who would appear on the show.

His comments come weeks after there was speculation he had been removed from the show.

There was speculation about his future on the program shortly after Fox News parted ways with former host Tucker Carlson in April.

Shortly after news of Carlson’s departure, Rivera wrote on Twitter, “I don’t wish ill on anybody, but there is no doubt-as I said at the time-Tucker Carlson’s perverse January 6 conspiracy theory was ‘bullshit.’ Having lost the election President Trump incited an insurrection that sought to undermine our Constitutional process.”

Days later Rivera tweeted, “My appearances today and tomorrow on The Five have been canceled. I’m sure there’s a good reason.”

“Never fear, I’ll be back week after next. Stay safe and happy. Thanks,” he assured his fans.

On May 17, Rivera shot down a rumor he had been removed from the show.
