Actress Candace Cameron Bure came under fire after being accused of lying about not eating fast food for two decades.

A representative for Bure, 47, emailed a statement to the “Today” show and defended the former star of “Full House” and “Fuller House.”

“Candace told me that she drove her son to get food at Chick-fil-A and she only ordered an iced tea for herself. Candace is only holding a cup,” the representative said in the statement shown on Monday.

The representative added the accusations against Bure online are “untrue” and “ridiculous.”

According to Entertainment Tonight (ET), Bure posted to her Instagram story and claimed she hadn’t “eaten fast food except for In-N-Out in 20 years” and was curious about what it would be like.

“Some days I wonder what a burger and fries is like from McDonald’s or Burger King or Wendy’s or any of those other places I’ve never eaten at. Today is that day,” she said.

However, she made it clear she wouldn’t be finding out.

“And no, I’ve never had Taco Bell or anything similar. I don’t regret it. You can’t convince me otherwise,” Bure continued.

On May 15, a Twitter user posted a since-deleted Instagram post of Bure in 2012 at Chick-fil-A with her son.

“We love Chikin!” Bure wrote in the caption.

Tagging Bure, the Twitter user asked, “This you?”

Bure has been no stranger to controversy.

In July 2022, actress Hilary Duff’s husband, Matthew Koma, attacked Bure for a TikTok video she made on the Fourth of July with Bruce Springsteen’s song “Born In The USA” playing in the background.

“Yeah, the song you’re playing?” Koma noted on TikTok. “It’s about veterans coming home from Vietnam and being treated like s***. Yeah, it’s not about, it’s not the Fourth of July.”

Following the backlash, Bure responded with the Bible verse Isaiah 12:2, captioning her video, “Scripture memory day.”

“The Lord is my salvation. I will trust Him and not be afraid. For He, and He alone, is my strength and my defender. He has become my salvation,” she shared.
