A former White House physician is raising concerns about President Joe Biden’s mental state as he launches his re-election bid.

Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Texas,) who served as the White House physician for former President Barack Obama and former President Donald Trump, appeared on Fox News’ “Hannity” Tuesday night to discuss the current president.

“I know what it takes mentally, cognitively, and physically to do this job,” Jackson said.

He went on, “This man is a walking disaster right now. He’s going to get us into trouble. I’m blowing the alarm bells right now, sounding the alarm bells every single day.”

By contrast, he noted Trump is younger than Biden.

“The man can stand up unprompted without any teleprompter or anything else and he can talk for two hours and he’s very articulate. And he’s very easy to understand. And he’s very easy to relate to,” Jackson added.

Biden announced his 2024 re-election campaign in a video on Tuesday.

He would be 86 at the end of a potential second term.

Jackson has been circulating a letter calling on the president to take a cognitive test or resign and not run for re-election.

The letter, which has been obtained by Fox News, states, “We call on you to either resign immediately and renounce your bid for reelection or submit to a clinically validated cognitive screening assessment and make those results available to the public.”

“When you first announced your bid to run in the 2020 presidential election, questions and concerns were raised surrounding your cognitive abilities. Those concerns have only increased because your mental decline and forgetfulness have become more apparent since you were elected,” it continued.

Jackson also stated Americans “should have absolute confidence in their President and know that he or she can perform their duties as Head of State and Commander in Chief.”

He added, “Therefore, the American people deserve complete transparency on the mental capabilities of their highest elected leader.”

Jackson has previously raised concerns about Biden’s mental state.
