President Joe Biden joked that he was not coming back to the U.S. after traveling to Ireland, and some Twitter users wished that would happen.

During an appearance with Irish President Michael D. Higgins in Dublin Castle this week, Biden joked, “I’m not going home. I’m staying here.”

He added, “Isn’t this an incredible place, all you American reporters? Looks just like the White House, right?”

This was not the only moment from his trip to Ireland that made headlines.

While speaking at the Windsor Bar in Dundalk, Ireland, he mixed up New Zealand’s All Blacks rugby team with the police force known as the Black and Tans that were deployed during the Irish War of Independence against rebels, CNN explained.

“See this tie I have, this shamrock tie?” Biden said.

He added, “It was given to by one of these guys right here, who’s a hell of a rugby player who beat the hell out of the Black and Tans.”

White House official Amanda Sloat later commented on the matter, explaining, “I think for everyone in Ireland who was a rugby fan, it was incredibly clear that the president was talking about the All Blacks and Ireland’s defeat of the New Zealand team.”

The White House also made a change to the transcript of Biden’s remarks, IJR reported.

“And the closing comment I make: You see this tie I have with this shamrock on it? This was given to me by one of these guys right here. He was a hell of a rugby player, and he beat the hell out of the Black and Tans [All Blacks]. Oh, God. (Laughter.),” the transcript states.
