Twitter users are asking if President Joe Biden has taken up learning a new language after he suffered a verbal flub during a speech.

During his trip to Ireland, Biden apparently suffered a severe malfunction involving the word “young.”

“Here in Northern Ireland, programs like yang yang– yang — Young Entrepreneurs… Young Enterprise North Ireland [are] helping thousands of young people each year gain skills and pursue their goals as entrepreneurs,” he said.

One user tweeted, “I thought he was trying to speak Chinese at first.”

Another asked, “Did he pick that up from the nail salon?”

Yet another suggested, “He’s now speaking Mandarin. The CCP influence has gotten to him.”

Biden also struggled with the word “profound” during his speech.

It feels as though we have not really heard much from Biden lately.

He has not held a solo press conference in roughly 150 days. And he has not really delivered any major speeches since his State of the Union address in February, nor has he addressed the first-ever indictment of a former president.

The president has, of course, been keeping busy, holding events at the White House, but no prime-time events that garner a lot of attention.

And with the firestorm happening among Republicans — between former President Donald Trump’s indictment, Tennessee Republicans’ poorly calculated decision to expel two Democrats, and potential warning signs about how the abortion issue could seriously be energizing Democratic voters — it’s probably a good strategy to try to lay low.

But eventually, the world will move on. And as Biden turns 81 this year, questions about his ability to carry out the duties of the presidency will likely creep back into the headlines.

And videos such as these, or of him falling upstairs, or him rambling about “pushing [eggs] out” or rolling eggs at the Easter Egg Roll, probably will not be too reassuring for voters looking for someone they think can beat the Republican nominee.
