Footage from when police arrived at the home of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) moments before her husband was struck with a hammer has been released.

On Friday, bodycam footage that showed the moment Paul Pelosi was struck with a hammer in his San Francisco home was released.

It begins with officers approaching the home, confirming the address, and knocking on the front door.

The door opens and Paul Pelosi greets the officers as he says, “Hey guys, how are ya?”

The footage shows him and the suspect both holding onto a hammer.

One officer then asked, “What’s going on, man?”

The suspect responds, “Everything’s good.”

When the suspect was told to drop the hammer, he said, “Uh, nope.”

Paul Pelosi was heard saying, “Hey! Hey, hey, hey!”

The suspect was then able to free the hammer from Paul Pelosi’s grasp and hit him in the head. The officers then rushed into the home and detained the suspect.

On Friday, the 911 call from the morning of the attack was also released.

When asked if he needed help, Paul Pelosi responded there was a “gentleman here just waiting for my wife to come back, Nancy Pelosi… she’s going to be here for days so I guess I’ll have to wait.”

The suspect appeared to be able to hear the phone call. At one point, Paul Pelosi told the dispatcher, “He thinks everything’s good. I’ve got a problem, but he thinks everything’s good.”

“OK, call us back if you change your mind,” the dispatcher responded.

Later in the call, the suspect told the dispatcher his name and claimed he was a friend. However, Paul Pelosi said he did not know his would-be assailant.

A separate video showed the suspect smashing a window to break into the home.

The footage, released on Friday, appears to back up a since-retracted report from NBC News from November.

NBC News’ Miguel Almaguer reported in November Paul Pelosi opened the door but “did not immediately declare an emergency” or attempt to leave the property.

The outlet also noted it was not clear whether Paul Pelosi had already been injured or what his mental state was.

NBC News later retracted the report and said, “The piece should not have aired because it did not meet NBC News reporting standards.”

Almaguer was also suspended following the report.
