Lisa Marie Presley — the only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley — has died. She was 54.
On Thursday evening, Priscilla Presley confirmed the news of her daughter’s passing to People.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us. She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss,” she said.
She also thanked everyone for their “love and prayers.”
Priscilla Presley’s representative made a statement to Fox News Digital and said that the Presley family is “shocked and devastated” over Lisa Marie Presley’s sudden death.
“Priscilla Presley and the Presley family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Lisa Marie. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time,” the representative said.

On Thursday morning, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department told People the department responded to a “cardiac arrest” call for a woman in her 50s who was not breathing. Upon arrival, paramedics began to perform CPR and were able to find a pulse before transferring her to the hospital for “immediate medical care.”
Lisa Marie Presley was then put on life support with a temporary pacemaker, according to TMZ, who first broke the news.
Priscilla Presley gave an update on her Instagram page of her daughter’s condition, which at the time was “critical.”
“My beloved daughter Lisa Marie was rushed to the hospital. She is now receiving the best care. Please keep her and our family in your prayers,” she wrote in the caption with a photo of her with Lisa Marie Presley.
She added, “We feel the prayers from around the world, and ask for privacy during this time. – Priscilla Presley.”
Lisa Marie Presley just attended the 2023 Golden Globes on Tuesday to support actor Austin Butler who won Best Actor in a Drama Motion Picture for his portayal of Elvis Presley in the 2022 movie “Elvis.”
