Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) took issue with Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) after she referenced her previous comment about “space lasers.”
Greene shared a video of Boebert from a Turning Point USA event as she stood next to Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.).
“Someone who we all respect – Marjorie Taylor Greene – says Kevin McCarthy is gonna be a great speaker,” commentator Charlie Kirk said.
Gaetz responded, “I guess you’ll have to ask Marjorie about that. I’m a fan of hers, I’m an admirer, but it’s not something we see the same on.”
Boebert chimed in, saying, “I’ve been aligned with Marjorie and accused of believing a lot of the things that she believes in. I don’t believe in this, just like I don’t believe in Russian space lasers, Jewish space lasers, and all of this.”
Greene fired back at Boebert, tweeting, “I’ve supported and donated to Lauren Boebert. President Trump has supported and donated to Lauren Boebert. Kevin McCarthy has supported and donated to Lauren Boebert. She just barely came through by 500 votes.”
She argued Boebert “gladly takes our $$$ but when she’s been asked: Lauren refuses to endorse President Trump, she refuses to support Kevin McCarthy, and she childishly threw me under the bus for a cheap sound bite.”

In 2018, Media Matters uncovered a Facebook post from Greene’s account making a claim about lasers and wildfires.
“If they are beaming the suns energy back to Earth, I’m sure they wouldn’t ever miss a transmitter receiving station right??!! I mean mistakes are never made when anything new is invented. What would that look like anyway?” she wrote.
The post continues, “A laser beam or light beam coming down to Earth I guess. Could that cause a fire? Hmmm, I don’t know. I hope not! That wouldn’t look so good for PG&E, Rothschild Inc, Solaren or Jerry Brown who sure does seem fond of PG&E.”
