President Joe Biden has cast some doubt on four more years in the White House.

While speaking at the White House Tribal Nations Summit Wednesday, an individual in the crowd shouted, “Four more years!”

Biden replied, “I don’t know about that. Thanks — thank you.”

NBC News reported the same day that an individual close to the White House said the midterm results “bought” Biden “a lot of time to methodically decide” on a 2024 run.

The outlet noted Biden aides are using the midterm results to declare his approach to leading Democrats “has been validated.”

White House spokesperson Andrew Bates explained, “The same coalition President Biden built to expand the map for Democrats in 2020 powered our historic midterm wins, including unprecedented youth turnout.”

He added, “At the same time, the president galvanized independent voters with a message widely adopted across the party, highlighting the differences between his values and ultra MAGA Republicans’ agenda.”

However, Republicans have not been hesitant to point out how Americans are struggling under Biden’s administration.

“Biden has overseen soaring inflation, a humanitarian crisis at the border, and unrest abroad. Over the next two years, he will finally meet oversight and accountability for the failures he’s unleashed on the American people,” Nathan Brand, the deputy communications director for the Republican National Committee, said.

Individuals close to the White House believe, at this point, only a family emergency or a personal health issue would alter Biden’s decision about another run, as NBC News reported.

The president’s remarks come just weeks after former President Donald Trump announced another bid for the White House, as IJR reported.

Reporters asked Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron during the G20 meeting in Bali if they had a reaction to Trump’s announcement.

“Not really,” Biden said.

The former president recently faced backlash for a dinner he had at his Mar-a-Lago home last week with Ye, the rapper formerly known as Kanye West, and others.

One of the guests was “white nationalist and antisemite” Nick Fuentes, as NBC News noted.
