Former President Barack Obama appeared in a TikTok video and the response was not great.

Fox News noted Obama was featured in a TikTok video with content creator Vitus Spehar.

The video opens with Spehar recording from under a desk.

Obama then appears and asks Spehar what the content creator is doing under his desk.

“Under the desk is kind of my thing,” Spehar said.

Obama replied, “Here’s the thing, you can stay for now, but when it comes time for voting you’re going to have to get up.”

He continued, “You got climate change legislation on the ballot, you got gun safety. And, when we can elect more pro-choice members of Congress, we can reinstitute Roe v. Wade as the law of the land. So, you can’t stay here, you’re going to have to take a little bit of time to vote.”

Spehar then asked, “Is now a bad time to say that I voted for McCain in 2008?”

The former president joked, “Mmm, as long as you voted.”

Twitter users were quick to mock the video.

“Ooof this is painful,” Food Network personality chef Andrew Gruel tweeted in a reply.

Over the weekend, Obama made appearances in Milwaukee and Detroit, attacking Republicans and urging voters to vote for Democrats.

“In Michigan, who will fight for your freedom? Is it a bunch of Republican politicians and judges who think they should get to decide when you start a family or how many children you have, who you marry or who you love? Obama asked.

He added, “Or is it leaders like Gretchen Whitmer who believe that the freedom to make these personal decisions belong to every American, not politicians in Washington?”
