CNN’s Brian Stelter has been offered a position with The Babylon Bee.

On Thursday, Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon jokingly tweeted, “Hey [Brian Stelter], would you be interested in working for the Bee? We’re looking for talent with experience putting out funny fake news.”

He added, “You come highly recommended. Shoot me a DM if you’re interested!”

CNN announced that the network would be canceling Stelter’s show “Reliable Sources,” as IJR reported.

A CNN spokesperson said in a statement,  “CNN will end its ‘Reliable Sources’ program on Sunday, August 21st. As a result Brian Stelter will leave the company. We appreciate his contributions to the network and wish him well as he embarks on new endeavors.”

Stelter issued a statement of his own, saying, “It was a rare privilege to lead a weekly show focused on the press at a time when it has never been more consequential.”

Should he accept the offer?

Dillon is not the only one to invite Stelter to apply for a job.

Fox News’s Greg Gutfeld tweeted, “Yo [Brian Stelter] – my show is hiring.”

NewsBusters managing editor Curtis Houck spoke to Fox News about how he feels Stelter did more harm than good.

“Stelter departs CNN having done damage to both the network’s reputation and the wider media’s reputation like few others could do,” Houck said.

He added, “Positing himself as a media reporter looking to help explain the journalism profession to the public and show how stories are made and shaped, Stelter actually exposed the national press for the knavish liberal partisans that they’ve become by inadvertently displaying their arrogance and childish refusal to accept even mild outside criticism.”

Houck suggested that Stelter’s “rancorous apologies, dismissals, and omissions of major media stories and failures only deepened his reputation as the liberal media’s janitor and a hate object on the right.”

He continued, “With this move and Jeffrey Toobin’s departure last week, these last seven days could mark the beginning of a turning point for CNN under Chris Licht.”

The outlet noted Licht was announced as the new head of CNN in February.
