Greg Norman, CEO of Saudi-backed LIV Golf, shared how much the league offered Tiger Woods to exit from the PGA.

During an interview with Fox News, host Tucker Carlson noted that Norman keeps reading that “you offered Tiger Woods $700, $800 billion, some unknown number to join LIV, is that true?”

Norman responded, “That number was out there before I became CEO. So that number has been out there, yes. Look, Tiger is a needle mover, right.”

He added, “So of course you got to look at the best of the best. They originally approached Tiger before I became CEO so yes, that number is somewhere in that neighborhood.”

Carlson said billions but reports claim it was millions.

Last month at The Open, Woods commented on LIV and Norman.

“I know what the PGA Tour stands for and what we have done and what the Tour has given us, the ability to chase after our careers and to earn what we get and the trophies we have been able to play for and the history that has been a part of this game,” Woods said.

He added, “I know Greg tried to do this back in the early ’90s. It didn’t work then, and he’s trying to make it work now.”

Woods went on to say he still did not see “how that’s in the best interests of the game.”

Still, Norman told Carlson he receives calls from players who want to join the league.

“We have almost on a daily basis, we get calls every day from players [who said] ‘I want in, can I join?'” Norman said. (00:04:50)

He continued, “I tell them, sorry, the shop is closed. The list gets longer and longer for the players who want to come in.”
