“The View” co-host Joy Behar tried to claim that former President Donald Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) are “the same thing.”

But one of her fellow panelists was not going along with it.

On Monday, Behar said, “DeSantis could take [Trump’s] place, and that’s just as bad. I mean, there was a — what do you call it? This Turning Point conference with all the smoke.”

“Anyway, they were out there. Neo-Nazis were out there in the front of the conference with anti-Semitic slurs, and, you know, the Nazi swastika and a picture of a so-called Jewish person with exaggerated features. Just like — like Goebbels did during the Third Reich. Right out of that same playbook, OK? And DeSantis did not say anything about it, nothing. So it’s sort of his rendition of good people on both sides, same idea,” she continued.

Behar added, “So why trade a headache for an upset stomach? Because that’s what’s going to happen if they get rid of Trump and put him in. It’s the same thing.”

Shockingly, Ana Navarro sort of defends DeSantis from Behar."I don't think Desantis has been involved in promoting a coup against America."

However, co-host Ana Navarro pushed back on the suggestion that Trump and DeSantis are the “same thing.”

“I live in Florida. As many issues as I have with DeSantis, I don’t think it’s the same thing,” she said.

Navarro added, “Because I don’t think DeSantis has been involved in promoting a coup against America and being part of the organization.”

Additionally, Navarro said, “I think Donald Trump is in a class all by himself, thank God.”

Behar’s comment about Neo-Nazis refers to reports that there was a group of them that showed up outside the Turning Point USA (TPUSA) Student Action Summit at the Tampa Convention Center and waved flags with swastikas on them.

On Sunday, TPUSA spokesperson Andrew Kolvet said in a statement that the organization “100% condemns those ideologies in the strongest of terms.”

“Since these individuals were located on public property, our security attempted to, but was not permitted to remove them. We have no idea who they are or why they were here,” he continued.

He added, “Our students, after initially confronting them, ultimately took the mature route and vacated the space. Once that happened, these individuals left.”

However, DeSantis, as of Monday afternoon, has not released a statement about them.

DeSantis has been seen as a potential 2024 Republican contender.

And some polls have found him leading the former president.

However, a straw poll conducted at the TPUSA event found that nearly 80% of attendees said they would vote for Trump in the 2024 primary, while 19% chose DeSantis.
