Tesla CEO Elon Musk appeared to respond to a report that had twins with one of his top executives.

According to a report from Insider, court documents show he quietly had twins with Shivon Zilis last November.

In April, Musk and Zilis filed a petition to change the names of the twins to “have their father’s last name and contain their mother’s last name as part of their middle name.”

The petition was approved by a Texas judge.

Insider noted the twins were born just weeks before Musk and Claire Boucher had their second child via surrogate.

Zilis now holds the title of director of operations and special projects for Neuralink.

Musk is a co-CEO at the company.

The outlet pointed out that Zilis and Musk share interests such as intellectual passions, including space travel, transportation, and artificial intelligence.

She has been an “ardent defender of Musk in the face of criticism,” as Insider reported.

Musk seemingly responded to the report in a tweet, saying, “Doing my best to help the underpopulation crisis. A collapsing birth rate is the biggest danger civilization faces by far.”

He added, “Mark my words, they are sadly true.”

The billionaire also told his followers he hopes they “have big families and congrats to those who already do!”

Last year, Musk raised concerns about population collapse.

He tweeted an article from The Wall Street Journal titled, “U.S. Population Growth, an Economic Driver, Grinds to a Halt.”

The caption read, “Population collapse is potentially the greatest risk to the future of civilization.”

One user replied, thanking Musk for speaking out on the issue.

“Many folks seem to think overpopulation is a problem, when really it’s the opposite. You’re one of the few at the top that legitimately cares about humanity’s future, on this planet [and] beyond,” the user explained.

Musk replied, “And that’s just for Earth! Mars has zero human population. We need a lot of people to become a multiplanet civilization.”
