Former President Donald Trump reacted to an allegation made during a hearing on the January 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol, calling it “sick.”

During the Tuesday hearing, Cassidy Hutchinson, a former aide to the White House chief of staff at the time of the riot, testified that Trump tired to grab the wheel of the limo after being told he was being taken back to the White House instead of the Capitol.

The former president took to his platform Truth Social to post his response.

“Her Fake story that I tried to grab the steering wheel of the White House Limousine in order to steer it to the Capitol Building is ‘sick’ and fraudulent, very much like the Unselect Committee itself,” Trump said.

He added, “Wouldn’t even have been possible to do such a ridiculous thing. Her story of me throwing food is also false…and why would SHE have to clean it up, I hardly knew who she was?”

Additionally, Trump called Hutchinson a “total phony” and “leaker.”

Fox News later reported a source close to the Secret Service told the outlet two agents are prepared to testify before Congress that Trump did not attempt to grab the steering wheel or assault them during his attempt to turn back to the Capitol.

The January 6 committee and Secret Service are reportedly in discussions about whether one or both of them will be on camera.

According to the outlet, the head of his Secret Service detail, Bobby Engel, and the SUV driver, an unnamed Secret Service agent are prepared to give their testimonies.

Former counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway reacted to the report on the Secret Service agents during an interview with Fox News.

“I think it’s pretty remarkable that you have Secret Service agents, and in this case, the deputy chief of staff of the White House also willing to go under oath just to dispute the first hand account, ” Conway said.

She added, “They were in the vehicle. They can tell us what happened and what didn’t happen. It’s pretty remarkable that they would do that.”

Conway noted law enforcement often does not like to get involved or testify.

Hutchinson’s lawyer, Jody Hunt, suggested the Secret Service agents should testify.

“Ms. Hutchinson testified, under oath, and recounted what she was told,” Hunt tweeted.
