Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) is accusing Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) of spreading “dangerous lies” to help her raise money from Democratic donors.

In a tweet Monday, Green wrote, “Now the Dems make you tweet their divisive and dangerous lies, all so you can raise money from Democrat donors as you try to cling to your seat. And you actually comply.”

“How pathetic,” she added.

On Monday, Cheney tweeted, “The House GOP leadership has enabled white nationalism, white supremacy, and anti-semitism. History has taught us that what begins with words ends in far worse.”

”[GOP] leaders must renounce and reject these views and those who hold them,” she added.

Cheney’s tweet came after a gunman opened fire in a Tops Friendly Market in Buffalo, New York, on Saturday.

The shooting left 10 people dead, and 13 injured, and law enforcement officials say it was racially motivated.

Eleven of the 13 people shot were Black.

Eighteen-year-old Payton Gendron, the suspect in the shooting, allegedly posted a 180-page document that contained racist language.

According to The Washington Post, Gendron “fixated on the idea that White people are being intentionally replaced.”

“That idea, once relegated to the fringe, has gained currency on popular right-wing television programs and in the halls of Congress. The theory, known as the ‘great replacement,’ has turned white nationalism into an international call to arms,” it added.

Cheney did not mention Greene by name in the tweet.

However, Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) tweeted, “Here is my replacement theory: we need to replace [Stefanik] [House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.)] [Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.)] [Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-S.C.)] and a number of others.”

Here is my replacement theory: we need to replace @EliseStefanik @GOPLeader @RepMTG @CawthornforNC and a number of others.

The replacement theory they are pushing/tolerating is getting people killed.

In February, Greene and Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) spoke at a gathering of white nationalists, which drew condemnation from Republican leaders.

Greene defended her appearance at the event by stating that she did not know the organizer’s views and said she is “not aligned with anything that is controversial.”
