Former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany is criticizing the spokesperson for the Biden administration for a “snarky” response to a question about the transportation mask mandate.

During a segment of Fox News’ “Outnumbered” Tuesday, the co-hosts discussed White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki’s response to a question from the network’s Peter Doocy.

“It reminds me of define a woman ‘I’m not a biologist.’ It seems to be a favorite of libs these days. She also was asked, ‘is the mask mandate still in effect,’ to which she replied, ‘I don’t know,'” McEnany said.

She continued, “OK, you’re the press secretary. You know how government works. That’s a snarky answer. The answer is, ‘We respect the opinions of the federal judiciary, including that of a federal judge in Florida.’ But that’s not what she said.”

After noting that Psaki called the decision to strike down the mask mandate “disappointing,” McEnany said, “If the Biden administration wants to express disappointment as America collectively cheers, they can try to do that.”

“But I hope Jen Psaki at the podium today fights very hard against this ruling. I hope President Biden does. I hope they show the true autocrats they are. Because that’s exactly what they are,” she added.

Watch the video below:

On Monday, a federal judge in Florida struck down the mask mandate for air travel and other forms of public transportation.

Shortly after the ruling was announced, Psaki held a press briefing and faced questions about the decision.

However, at the time, she did not provide an update about the state of the mandate.

She also said the administration was “continuing to recommend people wear masks.”

Later on Monday, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) said it would no longer enforce the mask mandate on planes or other forms of public transportation.

And President Joe Biden was asked on Tuesday if people should still wear masks on airplanes.

“That’s up to them,” he said.

However, the Biden administration said it would appeal the ruling striking down the mask mandate, if the U.S CDC agrees the mandate was still needed.
