Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton urged Democrats to stand up to the “other side with their craziness” ahead of the upcoming midterm elections.

During an appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” host Chuck Todd noted many speculate that the trouble for President Joe Biden politically started with the withdrawal from Afghanistan.

When asked if she believes that, Clinton replied, “I don’t think it helped. I think that is obviously the case. I think that the performance with respect to Ukraine has been excellent.”

Suggesting “a lot of lessons have been learned,” Clinton added, “There is a lot of good accomplishments to be putting up on the board. And the Democrats in office and out need to be doing a better job of making the case.”

Clinton explained that Democrats need to “stand up to the other side with their craziness and their calls for impunity and nuttiness that we hear coming from them.”

She continued, “I don’t think the average American, frankly, wants to be governed by people who live in a totally different reality.”

Last week, Axios noted Democrats are showing signs of anxiety after an NBC News poll showed Biden’s approval rating dropped to 40%, the lowest of his presidency.

Rep. Susan Wild (D-Pa.) told the outlet, “It’s always a concern when the president’s numbers are bad and you’re in the same party.”

She added, “In my district, and I think in most frontline districts, you win your campaign because people know you know what work you’ve done, … and they also know that I don’t always vote in line with the party.”

Rep. Mondaire Jones (D-N.Y.) explained to Axios that a “substantial explanation for the president’s relatively low approval is that Democrats are dissatisfied with the lack of progress we’ve made on certain issues.”

Additionally, Fox News pointed out liberal media outlets have voiced concerns that Republicans will be victorious over Democrats in the midterms since the beginning of the year.
