“Squad” member Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) says Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas should resign.

She tweeted on Tuesday, “If not, his failure to disclose income from right-wing organizations, recuse himself from matters involving his wife, and his vote to block the Jan 6th commission from key information must be investigated and could serve as grounds for impeachment.”

Clarence Thomas should resign.

Ocasio-Cortez is not the only lawmaker to make a demand involving Clarence Thomas. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) said he “needs to be impeached.”

Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) told ABC News, “You cannot have a justice hearing cases related to this election, and, in fact, the ethics rules that apply to all the other federal judges say that if it involves a family member — appearance of impartiality — they have to recuse themselves.”

The calls come just days after it was reported that Clarence Thomas’ wife, Ginni Thomas, texted former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows urging him to make efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.

The January 6 committee chairman is expected to recommend Ginni Thomas appear.

“It appears that Mrs. Thomas has information relevant to our investigation. It’s important that we hear from all witnesses who can help us get answers for the American people about the violence of January 6th and its causes, and that includes Mrs. Thomas,” the panel said in a statement.

Earlier this month, Ginni Thomas told The Washington Free Beacon she did not help organize the rally that occurred before the Capitol riot. She did attend the rally, but got cold and left early.

“I was disappointed and frustrated that there was violence that happened following a peaceful gathering of Trump supporters on the Ellipse on Jan. 6,” Ginni Thomas said.

She continued, “There are important and legitimate substantive questions about achieving goals like electoral integrity, racial equality, and political accountability that a democratic system like ours needs to be able to discuss and debate rationally in the political square. I fear we are losing that ability.”

Ginni Thomas also claimed she “played no role with those who were planning and leading the Jan. 6 events.”
