President Joe Biden appeared to be confused about which state Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm used to be the governor of.

During an event at the White House on Tuesday to celebrate Women’s History Month, Biden introduced Granholm as he said, “Former governor Jennifer Granholm of the Energy Department.”

He continued, “I often kid her. I wasn’t kidding early on when I was seeking the nomination, had she been born in America she would be standing here and I would be sitting there.”

“She was the former governor of the state of uh…Michigan. Michigan, wrong. She was the former state…she was a governor,” he added.

Granholm was Michigan’s first female governor from 2003 to 2011.

In Aug. 2021, Biden held a virtual meeting with governors and other state and local officials where he accidentally called the current governor of Michigan “Jennifer.”

During the event, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) thanked Biden after the Senate passed his $1 trillion infrastructure package.

Biden responded, “Thank you, Jennifer, for what you’ve done.”

During the same event on Tuesday, the president accidentally referred to Vice President Kamala Harris as the “first lady.”

“There’s been a little change in the arrangement of who is on the stage because of the first lady’s husband contracting COVID,” he said.

His comments come after Harris’ husband Doug Doug Emhoff tested positive for COVID-19.

When someone appeared to note that his comments referred to himself, Biden said, “That’s right.”

He then pointed to First Lady Jill Biden and said, “She’s fine.”

“And secondly, the first gentleman, how about that?” he added.

Biden kicked off his remarks by referring to himself as “Jill Biden’s husband.”
