Co-hosts of “The View” Meghan McCain and Whoopi Goldberg got into a heated exchange during a segment on President Joe Biden’s testy response to a reporter during his first foreign trip.

On Wednesday, McCain claimed, “Just because Trump was so bad, it doesn’t absolve Biden’s bad behavior. What he just did was 100 percent Trump-y. I think I would just like a little intellectual consistency. If Trump had done that, we would be screaming at the top of our lungs one way or another.”

She went on to say Biden’s response to the question was “unbecoming” and “ridiculous” and blasted him for bemoaning what he viewed as negative questions.

“It’s the press’s job to speak truth to power. And just because Biden has gotten a pass so far… It is in no one’s best interest to continue to treat him like it’s state TV,” she added.

Whoopi Golberg responded noting that Biden later apologized for lashing out, “Yeah, the thing that I never saw Trump do was apologize to anybody. And I will take it.”

“With all due respect, I don’t care that he’s apologizing, he just embarrassed himself,” McCain interjected.

Goldberg fired back, “I don’t care that you don’t care.”

“Well I don’t care that you don’t care, Whoopi, so we’re even,” McCain said.

As Goldberg tried to wind down the segment as the show went to a break, she said, “Well then, good Meghan, then you can be how you always are.”

McCain quipped back, “You can be how you always are!”

The exchange comes after Biden lashed out at a reporter, as IJR reported.

When asked why he is “confident” Russian President Vladimir Putin would change his behavior, Biden responded, “I’m not confident he’ll change his behavior. What the hell? What do you do all the time? When did I say I was confident? What I said was… what will change their behavior is if the rest of the world reacts to them and diminishes their standing in the world.”

A reporter asked Biden how his meeting with Putin was “constructive,” and he shot back, “If you don’t understand that, you’re in the wrong business.”

Biden later apologized saying, “I shouldn’t have been such a wise guy.”
