Twitter took action against an account that was sharing tweets with content that was copied from former President Donald Trump‘s new social media tool.

The account named “The Desk of Donald J. Trump” was sharing posts from the former president’s new website, “From the Desk of Donald J. Trump,” on Twitter. The bio included a note that stated it was “Not Donald J. Trump Tweeting.”

However, according to NBC News’ Brandy Zadrozny, a Twitter spokesperson said the company suspended the account because, “As stated in our ban evasion policy, we’ll take enforcement action on accounts whose apparent intent is to replace or promote content affiliated with a suspended account.”

Twitter permanently banned Trump in January after the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.

Earlier this week, Trump unveiled his new website that allows him to communicate with followers after being kicked off several social media platforms.

The website lets users share his posts on Facebook and Twitter.

Twitter told Politico that users would be allowed to share posts from Trump’s new website. However, it said it may take action against posts that violate its rules. It also said it would ban users that try to imitate Trump’s account.

Facebook, which also suspended Trump, recently cracked down on users sharing content “in the voice of” Trump.

Earlier this year, Lara Trump posted an interview with the former president on her Facebook page. However, she received an email from the company informing her that the interview had been removed from her account.

“In line with the block we placed on Donald Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts, further content posted in the voice of Donald Trump will be removed and result in additional limitations on the accounts,” it read.
