Former President Donald Trump is blasting the Supreme Court for refusing to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

“Our Supreme Court and our courts didn’t have the courage to overturn elections that should have been overturned because you’re talking about decisive amounts, hundreds of thousands and even millions of votes,” Trump said during an interview with Fox News on Tuesday night.

The former president also said, “The Supreme Court didn’t rule on the facts. It ruled on standing. The Supreme Court should be ashamed of itself.”

Trump repeated his unsubstantiated election fraud claims and took a swipe at the Supreme Court during his speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in February.

“This election was rigged, and the Supreme Court and other courts didn’t want to do anything about it,” Trump said.

He added, “They rejected it. They should be ashamed of themselves for what they’ve done to our country. They didn’t have the guts or the courage to make the right decision.”

The Supreme Court earlier this month rejected the last few cases brought by Trump challenging his election defeat, as IJR reported.

The court threw out Trump’s appeal challenging Wisconsin absentee ballots. President Joe Biden won the state by more than 20,000 votes.

The Wall Street Journal released a recording of a phone call between Trump and the lead investigator in Georgia Secretary of State’s office, Frances Watson, that took place in December urging her to investigate voter fraud claims.

“When the right answer comes out, you’ll be praised,” he said to Watson.

Watson told Trump, “I can assure you that our team and the [Georgia Bureau of Investigation], that we are only interested in the truth and finding the information that is based on the facts.”

Trump added, “And, you know, they dropped ballots. They dropped all these ballots. Stacey Abrams, really, really terrible.”

Watson said during the phone call, “I know that you are a very busy, very important man, and I am very honored that you called… And quite frankly, I’m shocked that you would take time to do that, but I am very appreciative.”

Trump later expressed his appreciation for The Washington Post after the newspaper issued a correction to a story about his call with Watson.

The Post acknowledged in a correction it “misquoted Trump’s comments.”

“Trump did not tell the investigator to ‘find the fraud’ or say she would be ‘a national hero’ if she did so,” the Post said. “Instead, Trump urged the investigator to scrutinize ballots in Fulton County, Ga., asserting she would find ‘dishonesty’ there. He also told her that she had ‘the most important job in the country right now.’”
