House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is taking a swipe at Republicans who voted against the $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief bill but are now “[taking] the dough.”

During her press conference on Wednesday, Pelosi said the American Rescue Plan “will make an immediate difference in people’s lives, injecting vaccine into their arms, money into their pockets, children going back into school safely and people going to work safely.”

“Unfortunately, Republicans, as I say, you know, vote no and take the dough,” Pelosi continued. “You see already some of them claiming, ‘Oh, this is a good thing,’ or ‘That’s a good thing,’ but they couldn’t give it a vote.”

She added, “But, anyway, enough of them.”

The House speaker’s daughter, Christine Pelosi, posted to Twitter Wednesday evening, “Here we go … our very first of many Republican hypocrites to ‘Vote No and Take the Dough.'”

She was responding to Sen. Roger Wicker (R-Miss.), who applauded stimulus funds to restaurants despite voting against the bill.
