First Lady Jill Biden is getting in the holiday spirit, as she is decorating the North Lawn of the White House with giant hearts ahead of Valentine’s Day.
Jill Biden’s favorite holiday is Valentine’s Day, President Joe Biden revealed to reporters on Friday.
The couple walked out to the North Lawn of the White House on Friday morning to view the giant hearts installed.
On each heart is a word of encouragement and compassion, some of the words included courage, love, gratitude, peace, armor, and kindness. The heart that reads “healing” is signed by Jill Biden.
The first lady’s office said in a statement:
“As you may know, the First Lady is known for her sense of humor, love of surprises, and celebrating traditions, especially with her family. Valentine’s Day has always been one of her favorite holidays. Sending messages of healing, unity, hope and compassion, this is her Valentine to the country.”

The Biden’s were also joined by their dogs Champ and Major as they walked out to the lawn.
“Valentine’s Day is a big day,” Joe Biden told reporters. “Jill’s favorite day, for real.”
Asked what inspired her to do the signs, Jill Biden responded, “I just wanted some joy. With the pandemic, just everybody’s feeling a little down.”
